With a sound born out of Kodiak, Alaska (area code 907) and fine-tuned in the music cities of Nashville and Los Angeles, GIRL907 is an infectious pop duo with a modern twist on a throwback vibe.  The brand new pop group consists of sisters Rachele Lynae and Heather Cole. Raised as daughters of a fisherman in Kodiak, Rachele and Heather and have been singing together since they were barely big enough to stand alone on a stage.

The girls began their musical journeys singing in church and school. Writing their first song together when Rachele was 12 and Heather was just 9 years old, the young artists continued to grow in their craft, not only as singers but as gifted songwriters and performers as well. Both attended Belmont University to study music and begin to cultivate their own solo careers, singing backup for each other whenever possible.

Heather Cole continued her solo pop career in LA with the release of her debut single, “Hearts Will Break”, which gained attention from iHeart Radio’s “Most Requested Live with Romeo” along with some other Top 40 stations across the country. Her debut EP entitled “One of Our Hearts,” was also released as a visual project where Cole tells the story of one relationship beginning to end through music and film.  She created the concept, wrote the script, co-choreographed the dancing, and was the overall creative director for this video project. Cole also co-wrote all 5 songs on the EP. Continually writing and recording new music, Heather’s recent single “Good At Friends” was added to the prestigious New Music Friday Spotify curated playlist.

Meanwhile, Rachele stayed in Nashville releasing a critically acclaimed debut country album through Momentum Label Group with singles “Party Til The Cows Come Home” and “Fishin For Something” receiving radio airplay with the latter reaching terrestrial radio as well as Sirius xm Highway listeners. Rachele has since released “Whole Lotta Nothin” which was included among Apple Music’s Country A-List followed by the sassy rockin single, “Quicksand”.  “Quicksand,” made its world premiere on CMT Music, becoming a #1 top trending video on CMT.com.  Rachele has shared the stage with some of country’s hottest stars like Keith Urban, The Band Perry, Chris Young, Kelsea Ballerini, Randy Houser, the late Leon Russell, and many more.  She has sang the national anthem for the Boston Celtics and the New York Mets, and has been featured in All Access, Billboard, Country Weekly, PEOPLE Country, The Huffington Post, and FOX news to name a few.

In 2018, Rachele expanded her songwriting expertise to include more pop material which created a common ground for the two to come together on a new sound and project that, in retrospect, had been in the making since their childhood. The first two tracks written specifically for the GIRL907 project, “I Could Get Used To It” and “All Your Friends” were written by the duo during one of Heather’s many visits to Rachele’s home in Nashville, TN. “We had a blast writing these songs,” Heather recalls, “They practically wrote themselves… we laughed a lot.” “I Could Get Used To It” playfully explains to a new love that the singer is really digging the way she’s being treated and teases, “It’s a weird new thing you’re doing, but I could get used to it”. While “All Your Friends” puts a quirky fun twist on the traditional revenge breakup song with witty lyrics taunting, “I got all your friends in the breakup.”

Once all the music was written, GIRL907 brought producer Justin Wantz on board to bring it to life.  “I think the fun we had writing really comes through in the tracks. Justin really got our vision and captured it perfectly!” Rachele explains, “We hope that listeners feel the same way we do about them… that you just can’t help but smile, and hopefully sing along, when you hear them.”

In addition to the leading banger “All Your Friends,” GIRL907’s debut EP includes six more songs exploring the heart and vibe of the dynamic sister pop duo.
